Day 1:
Arrival and Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Arrive in Entebbe or Kampala and take a connecting flight or drive to Kidepo
Valley National Park, Uganda’s most remote and untouched wilderness. Upon
arrival, transfer to your lodge for check-in and relaxation. In the late
afternoon, embark on a short evening game drive to start experiencing the
park’s vast landscapes and abundant wildlife. Leisure dinner and overnight at
the lodge.
Day 2: Full
Day Game Drive in Kidepo Valley National Park
Spend the entire day on game drives in the Narus Valley, the greener and more
vibrant southern section of the park with permanent water sources attracting a
wide variety of wildlife. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, Uganda
kob, ostriches, giant elands, and possibly predators like leopards and
cheetahs. Drive through both Narus Valley and the drier northern Kidepo Valley
with its unique landmark landscapes and wildlife. Return to lodge for dinner
and overnight.
Day 3:
Morning Game Drive and Karamojong Cultural Visit
Enjoy a morning game drive to catch more wildlife sightings at dawn when
animals are most active. Return for breakfast and mid-day rest. In the
afternoon, take a cultural tour to visit the resilient Karamojong community,
learning about their traditional way of life, home structures (Manyattas),
customs, and ceremonies, including traditional dancing performances. This
cultural immersion enhances the safari experience with authentic indigenous
interaction. Return for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After an early breakfast, depart from Kidepo and transfer back towards
Murchison Falls National Park with scenic stops. Upon arrival, check into your
lodge and relax. An evening game drive or leisure time can be organized
depending on arrival time. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5:
Morning Game Drive and Nile River Boat Cruise at Murchison Falls
Start the day with a morning game drive in the park’s expansive savannah to
spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and potentially lions and leopards.
Return to lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along
the Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison Falls to view hippos, crocodiles,
and diverse birdlife. Optional hike to the top of the falls is available for
those desiring panoramic views. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6:
Morning Leisure or Optional Activities and Evening Sundowners
Spend the morning at leisure or engage in optional activities such as nature
walks, bird watching, or guided tours. In the late afternoon, enjoy a sundowner
experience watching the sunset over the park’s scenic landscapes. Dinner and
overnight.
Day 7: Final
Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Kampala or Entebbe
An early morning game drive offers the last opportunity to spot wildlife at
dawn. After breakfast, check out and transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe to
conclude the safari journey.
