The journey begins in Mabamba Swamp, a serene safari in traditional canoes among papyrus beds, teeming with wetland specialties like the legendary Shoebill Stork. At Kibale Forest, embark on thrilling chimpanzee treks amid dense tropical rainforest abound with over 370 species of birds including the dazzling Green-breasted Pitta, rare Albertine Rift endemics, and delicate sunbirds that illuminate the canopy.

Daily Activities:

·       Day 1: Mabamba Swamp Canoe Birding
Start with an early morning expedition gliding through Mabamba Swamp’s papyrus channels. This pristine wetland is famous for the magnificent Shoebill Stork, whose silent hunting evokes ancient prehistoric vistas. Alongside, find Papyrus Gonoleks with their striking red eyes, agile African Jacanas, and Malachite Kingfishers displaying their iridescent plumage. The quiet ambiance and mirror-like waters enhance close wildlife observation.

·       Day 2: Kibale Forest Birding and Chimpanzee Trek
Head to Kibale Forest, known as the primate capital of Africa, where over 1,500 chimpanzees live amidst lush tropical surroundings. After a morning briefing, follow expert guides into this primeval forest for a thrilling chimpanzee trek. Kibale hosts over 375 bird species including the spectacular Green-breasted Pitta, Dusky Crimsonwing, Red-faced Woodland Warbler, Blue-headed Bee-eater, and Nahan’s Francolin. Immense bird diversity complements primate viewing for an unforgettable day.

·       Days 3-4: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking and Birding
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda’s jewel of biodiversity and home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Spend two days trekking gorillas through misty forest trails, observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. ·       Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Return to Entebbe
Begin with a memorable morning game drive through Queen Elizabeth’s savannah and woodland. Watch for iconic birds like the Secretarybird stalking open plains, Kori Bustard’s stately march, and dazzling colonies of weaver birds among acacia trees.
