We set off from Entebbe on a speedboat, and the journey across Lake Victoria took about one hour and forty-five minutes. Thanks to Invictus Safaris’ well-organized arrangements, everything felt smooth, safe, and perfectly timed. The water was calm and steady, and as we cruised across the lake, I found myself completely at ease, soaking in the cool breeze and the quiet beauty of the open water. It was the kind of journey that allows you to disconnect from stress and reconnect with yourself.
Upon arrival, we were welcomed at Brovad Sands Lodge, a stunning lakeside retreat located about seven kilometers from Kalangala town. The choice of accommodation by Invictus Safaris was exceptional. The staff were warm and attentive, and the setting was nothing short of magical. Surrounded by lush greenery and right on the shores of the lake, the lodge offered the perfect balance of comfort and natureThe environment itself felt like a healing space. Birds filled the air with their beautiful songs, the trees swayed gently in the breeze, and the lake provided a calming backdrop throughout the day. The food was equally impressive. From traditional Ugandan dishes like matooke and freshly prepared fish to a variety of delicious fruits, every meal was satisfying and authentic. It was evident that great care had been taken to ensure guests enjoy both quality and cultural richness.
What I enjoyed most were the activities thoughtfully included in the experience. Swimming in the calm waters of the pool was refreshing and freeing, while the guided nature walks allowed me to fully appreciate the island’s beauty. The steam bath was the perfect way to unwind, leaving me feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Every activity felt well-planned and perfectly paced; another testament to Invictus Safaris’ professionalism.
By the time I returned, I felt renewed, energized, and deeply refreshed. This was not just a trip, it was a transformation. And I can confidently say that Invictus Safaris played a huge role in making it so special.
